Ways to keep your web site content fresh

How pleasant is a glass of icy tonic water with 2 slices of lemon in a torrid summer day? Let’s make your web site as cool and refreshing as this drink!

First, you have to know that a web site is not just an online brochure that presents in a static manner your business. A web site gives you the opportunity to keep your users up to date to all new things about you, to interact with them and to learn many things from this interaction. In this way you can evolve, be better and more competitive day by day.

Because the content is important. It is important for your customers. It is important for the search engines.

In our early post we were talking about the web design and how the “package” can determine the customer’s choice. Now we will talk about how your content can make your user wedded to your web site and your business and how it can increase your visibility in search engine results.

General considerations about the design of a website

I will present my considerations about the “web design concept”, drawing a parallel between: building a head office and building a website.

When you draw the project of your head office, you have in mind that the final product should be elegant, comfortable for your clients, functional, optimal for your staff/visitors needs and all these, respecting the limits of your budget. In the case of a website project, things are pretty much the same.

“If we want better sites, better work, and better-informed clients, the need to educate begins with us.” Jeffrey Zeldman . I have read his article few days ago, and I consider these words a good motto for what I have to say in this post.

These are just some of the things I’ve learned (and noticed it  works). I am constantly learning too, because the internet is constantly changing, nobody was born a web Guru or an e-marketing Guru.

You know very well by now that your human resources are a capital for you business. You also know that your experience, your know-how is your intellectual capital. You are convinced that all your business assets are an important capital for your success. But  have you ever thought about your website being a capital if you build it in the right way and you use it in the right way?
